Overview
Computed Tomography (CT) is playing a critical role in modern non-destructive testing (NDT), providing high-resolution insights into complex components across various industries. This presentation showcases the extensive expertise of diondo GmbH in CT-based NDT, emphasising its cutting-edge CT and digital radiography (DR) systems used by leading automotive manufacturers, aerospace suppliers, and companies in mechanical engineering, energy, electronics, and additive manufacturing.
The discussion explores a range of advanced CT examination techniques, including 3D Micro-CT, High Energy CT and LINAC CT, highlighting their applications in industrial quality control. Real world case studies will be presented examining cooling channels in turbine blades, polymer part variance analysis and the characterisation of metal powders used in additive manufacturing (AM). These examples demonstrate the precision and reliability of CT technology in detecting internal defects, assessing structural integrity and optimising manufacturing processes.
