d2 – Versatile microCT for Small to medium Samples

Versatile Micro CT System for Small to Medium-Sized Components

Highly adaptable modular design for academic or industrial applications

  • Diondo d2 Versatile Micro CT System for Small to Medium-Sized Components

    Key Features

    • High power source - Up to 300kV for maximum penetration
    • 3K detector - 30% higher detail detected with extremely short scan times
    • Multi-axis granite manipulator - Infinitely variable distance between focus and detector for maximum resolution
    • In situ testing - Suits time-resolved thermal and mechanical testing
    • Co-ordinate measuring technology - Reproducibly satisfies stringent demands of VDI/VDE 2630-1.3
    • Modular design - Add and upgrade your system as required
    • Dual tube configuration - Optional with micro and nano focus tubes

The diondo d2 has been designed for versatility and can measure tiny objects up to medium-sized assemblies. As such it suits everything from industrial NDT to materials research and includes metrology in accordance with VDI/VDE 2630 1.3. This makes it suitable for measuring anything from 3D printed structures, to electromechanical assemblies through to alloy castings and steel components from a wide variety of industries.

In Situ CT

The d2 can also be optioned with rigs to suit time-resolved testing under the influence thermal or mechanical loads so you can gain a better understanding of how materials behave. The design of the system has been optimised for flexibility and resolution for the size of the components.

  • Tension/compression module – 1kN to 10kN, or special solution offering up to 50kN
  • Thermal module – -40 to 200°C, with other options enabling experiments up to 1300°C

Modular Design

The modular design of the diondo d2 allows you to adapt the system to your specific requirements. It also provides a degree of futureproofing allowing you to add modules e.g. stages and parts changers, down the track.
