  • NewTec Scientific FurnaSEM in situ SEM furnace also suitable for optical microscopes

    Key Features

    • Max temperature 1300°C - Under high/low vacuum or with gas injection
    • Programmable heating rates - From 0.01°C/s to 10°C/s
    • Closed loop cooling circuit
    • Gas injection device - Optional
    • Highly adaptable - Suits all microscopes (SEM or optical)
    • Environmentally compatible - Usable under various gases O2, H2O …

FurnaSEM is a micro furnace (F = 50mm x 30mm) to qualify samples under optical microscopes and in situ SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), adapted to all SEM even on table. It is suitable to studies up to 1300°C under any vacuum and most gas atmospheres, with programmable heating cycles.

A range of furnaces are available that suit max. temperatures of 200°C, 600°C, 1000°C, 1200°C and 1350°C.

You can now observe microstructural and crystallographic changes as a function of temperature using BSE, EDX or EBSD.

  • Phase Changes as a Function of Temperature

    Run time – 14 sec

Watch the changes of phase as this sample is heated to 950°C and cooled back down using the FURNASEM, which allows direct observation at the micro-scale within your SEM.
